Storyline:
Factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall - a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led - goes wrong and he finds himself on the run.
Review:
OMG, the effects were stunning the storyline the same as Arnies one back in 1990. However this ones based on earth rather than Mars. The film as a whole was not as face paced as I excepted... and that lost the appeal to me.

Review:
Two words "EXTREMLY DATED", I not even sure how I even managed not to turn it off, it was one of those movie where you had to watch. just to see how worse it could get. I mean I doubt very much that even in 1979 this was concidered a truly scarey Zombie movie...... Zombie - Flesh Eaters is a horror classic and should remain that way.

Zombieland
StoryLine:
Searching for family. In the early twenty-first century, zombies have taken over America. A shy and inexperienced college student in Texas has survived by following his 30 rules: such as "look in the back seat," "double-tap," "avoid public restrooms." He decides to travel to Ohio to see if his parents are alive. He gets a ride with a boisterous zombie-hating good-old boy headed for Florida, and soon they confront a young woman whose sister has been bitten by a zombie and wants to be put out of her misery. The sisters were headed to an LA amusement park they've heard is zombie free. Can the kid from Ohio get to his family? And what about rule thirty one?
Review:
The most laughs I've had in a long time. A really solid script and nice underlying story really helps make this so much more than just a bunch of awesome zombie kills. That being said, this film feels as if you're playing a really badass zombie killing video game.

Then whilst on this Alien world, a struggle to survive begins and it soon becomes clear that the horrors they are experiencing are not just a threat to themselves, but to all of mankind. They must fight a terrifying battle to save the human race.
Review:
It's good to see that Ridley Scott still has the same vision for stylistic sets and atmospheric lighting. Lots of dripping water and eery shadows as one might expect from the old master. The special effects are impressive, the CGI is great. But - and I'm afraid it's a big but - the plot is disjointed, the characters two dimensional and the script is, well, not the best. Far too many things happen which simply make no sense at all, or just don't tally with "what we know already" about the Alien universe. Far too many plot mechanisms, bits of tech and even shots and scenes are borrowed from other films - Serenity, Independence day, The Mummy, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, X- Files. Watch the film and see how many ripped off bits you can spot. Spectacular, yes. A great film? No. sadly not.

Review:
I had along awaited to see this film, but never got around to either buying it, or renting it, However by chance it was on the Instant watch of our Lovefilm account. So last night I managed to watch it.
Now this is the part were I am supposed to say wow glad I waited, glad I watched it.... Well Unfortunately I have to say I was disappointed with the whole film. It just didn't have that same impact the first one did. The only part that I was surprised with, was seeing Christopher Lambert in the film which meant this was his first major role in an theatrical film since Highlander: Endgame, which I believe was 13 years ago, (which I still haven't seen).
I am glad I watched it but all I can hope is that if they do a third one it a lot better than this one.

Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there's a catch: you're genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich "earn" decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage. Living minute to minute, the duo's love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system.
Review:
I was apprehensive about this one, I saw the trailer for it on another film I watched and I thought it looked good. Now the first 20 mins of this film are a bit slow and thus nearly lost me as an audience, however things started pick up. The action wasn't fast paced it kinda reminded me of Logans run with Bonny and Clyde mixed in. But all in all an enjoyable film.
